Melodies for Two

Join us for an afternoon of Scandinavian music to celebrate a new collection of arrangements for two players by Marilyn Biery and Stephanie Shapiro. Melodies for Two was published by GIA Publications of Chicago in 2021, and features music by Grieg, Sibelius, Nielsen, and three Swedish women: Laura Netzel,  Amanda Röntgen-Maier, and Elfrida Andrée. The performers are Laura Larson, flute, Stephanie Shapiro, oboe, Rose Urbiel, violin, and Marilyn Biery, organ and piano. This concert is made possible by a generous bequest from the Dahling family.
