If you’re looking for a fairy tale where the princess is delicate, quiet, and waits around to be rescued... keep looking. Once Upon a Mattress: Youth Edition is a hilarious, high-energy, and "fractured" retelling of the classic story that proves being "royal" is all about being yourself.

The Story

In a kingdom where a decree states that no one may wed until Prince Dauntless finds a bride, the overbearing Queen Aggravain has made sure nobody passes her impossible tests. That is, until Princess Winnifred the Woebegone swims the castle moat and arrives at court.

She’s loud, she’s bold, and she’s definitely not what the Queen had in mind. Will "Fred" survive the ultimate test of sensitivity—a single pea hidden under twenty downy mattresses—or will the Queen’s schemes keep the Prince single forever?
